There is no healing without community.
Community is integral to healing. We cannot heal alone or in a vacuum.
We need each other to heal, our disease is not our own but a reflection of what is occurring in our families, in neighborhoods, our community and the earth. When we address healing with community participation our health reflects outward.
Sacred Vibes collaborates with several community gardens in Brooklyn. At each location, our herbal apprentices have created thriving medicinal herb gardens and work closely with members of the local community to support initiatives of healing in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Every year we also offer free herbal workshops in our community gardens!
These workshops are led by our advanced herbal apprentices and are open to the public. Sacred Vibes Apprentices study and work with Master Herbalist and Sacred Vibes founder, Karen Rose to create dynamic workshops that truly serve the needs of our communities.
This year our garden workshops will be held at our partner garden The Youth Farm. The Youth Farm is an education-focused production farm in Brooklyn that offers New Yorkers opportunities to increase their knowledge of the food system and build high level organic growing skills to share with their communities.
The Youth Farm is located at 600 Kingston Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11203.
